The composition comprises a release agent, a cross-linkable thermoplastic resin, and a water dispersible organic compound containing polyoxyethylene, polyoxypropylene, or a block copolymer of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene. A release sheet has the dried and cured coating composition on its outer surface(s).
