Abstract

An entrance 3 for a fowl coop 5, animal or livestock enclosure, sleeping quarter or the like, the entrance comprising a first opening (2, fig 2) and a second opening (4, fig 2), providing access for a non-predator animal or first animal species through the entrance and a passageway 20 intermediate the first opening and second opening. The entrance serves to resist a predator or second animal species passing through both the first and second openings. An internal partition (18, fig 2) creates a tortuous or meandering pathway between the two openings e.g. an S- shaped or U shaped pathway. The entrance is preferably a predator-resistant entrance, even more preferably a fox resistant entrance. The entrance can be integral with the coop or may be provided as an add on feature.
