Abstract

A blank of stiff but foldable board for forming either a substantially parallepiped packaging carton (figure 1) or an insert for a packaging carton (figure 4) for packaging an array of bottles. At least one divider panel 10, 12, 53, 55 which extends substantially vertically on erection of the carton includes cut out, hingeable partitions 14, 15, 58, 59 dividing the erected carton into compartments. At least one neck panel 17, 20 61, 65 provide a plurality of openings 19, 21, 63, 66 for bottle necks is arranged to extend substantially horizontally on erection of the carton, with the openings located above respective centres of the compartments. Two divider panels may be provided, extending parallel to each other in the erected configuration. An outer neck panel 17, 61 may be connected to each divider panel at an upper edge and arranged to extend outwardly from the divider on erection. Skirt panels 18, 62 may extend vertically against a side wall of the erected carton.
