Abstract

This invention concerns a syringe- like injection device comprising a tubular chamber 1 for receiving fixing agent to be injected by the device, the chamber having an inlet opening through which fixing agent can be passed into the chamber, a closure 4 for the inlet opening which is provided with an opening through which the rod 10 of a piston 3 is slidably movable, and an outlet 2 closable by a cap 8. The device further includes means for venting the chamber 1 during insertion of the piston 3 through the inlet opening and into the chamber, the venting means comprising a passage or passages 6 closed by the piston head when the inlet closure has been assembled to the chamber and when the piston head is in a position in which it is furthest from the outlet opening of the chamber. <IMAGE>
