Abstract

Monolithic dual filters have previously incorporated an external bridging capacitor to improve their characteristics, but modern highly compact electronic equipment does not have space available for such external capacitors. This problem is solved by providing capacitor electrodes (32, 42) on the major surfaces (10-1, 10-2) of the piezoelectric material (10) of the filter itself, between its input (21) and output (23) electrodes, to provide finite attenuation poles. <IMAGE>
