Abstract

In a tiller arrangement for tiller controlled vehicles, the tiller (5) includes one element (12) which is pivotally mounted to the tiller pedestal (4) and a control head element (13) which is pivotally mounted on the free end of the first element (12). The first element (12) is constructed in the form of a multiple pivot-point system either from levers (16, 19, 20) or from a wheel and chain drive so that the control head has a defined path of movement on folding up of the tiller. In a collision, the tiller folds to its illustrated folded position and a collision-sensor 11 is actuated to cause de-energization of a vehicle drive motor. <IMAGE>
