Abstract

A movable cutting unit for a dry- shaver comprises a plurality of cutters (24) and a corresponding plurality of hair-pulling blades (26) each arranged in front of one of the cutters for movement therewith relative to the shear plate of the dry-shaver and each arranged in sliding contact with the front surface (29) of the associated cutter for movement relative thereto away from and towards the shear plate. In order to avoid hair cuttings becoming trapped between the hair-pulling blades and the cutters and impeding the sliding action of the hair-pulling blades, each of these blades is inclined relative to the front surface of the associated cutter so that a wedge-shaped space is formed between the hair-pulling blade and the cutter. <IMAGE>
