Abstract

A pallet comprising a base 10 provided adjacent each end of each side with a support surface 12 terminating in an upstanding lug 13, and with channel 14 for use with detachable walls 15, each having at the lower end frame member 16 to rest on the support surfaces 12 and having leg members 17 with transverse members 28 for locating in the channels 14, is improved by providing between each support surface 12 and the subjacent channel 14 a catch 23, the catch having upper and lower outward projections 25, 26 and spring latching means, whereby, in one position of the catch the lower projection 26 extends from the slot and over the channel, in another position of the catch the lower projection 26 is withdrawn into the slot, and in both positions the upper projection 25 extends from the slot for engagement by a foot of an operator. <IMAGE>
