Abstract

A plastics transparency frame includes a first frame component 1 with a peripheral rim 1c and a second frame component 2 mounted within the first frame component 1. Each frame component 1, 2 includes an internal body portion 1d, 2d having a central opening 1a, 2a for the image area of a transparency 3 and diamond-patterned ribs 1e, 2e are provided on the surface of the body portion 1d, 2d of each frame component 1, 2 presented to the other frame component. The thickness of the body portion 1d, 2d of each frame component 1, 2 is less than half the thickness of the frame and the height of the ribs 1e, 2e of each frame component in the area in which the transparency 3 is located in use is substantially equal to half the thickness of the frame minus half the thickness of the transparency 3 minus the thickness of the respective body portion 1d, 2d. The frame components may be held in place by press studs 1h which fit into apertures 2h. <IMAGE>
