Abstract

A wrapped drain for soil drainage is constituted by a perforated tube 10 surrounded by a filter sheath 12 for retaining solid materials. The filter sheath is progressively applied around the tube in order to cover the tube completely, the edges of the sheath being so arranged as to overlap. A continuous fastening component 21 of substantial length is progressively introduced between the overlapping edges before they are applied against each other, fastening elements being adapted to penetrate intimately into the filter sheath structure. <IMAGE>
