Abstract

A spill-proof impinger (gas-trap) comprises a liquid container 1 which has a gas inlet tube 2 extending to the bottom of the container and a gas outlet tube 3 extending axially to the middle of the container so that when the container is filled with liquid to a level below the gas outlet tube, the tip of the outlet tube remains above the level of liquid on inversion of the container. The present impinger is useful for collection of dust, fumes, vapours and gases as test samples or for monitoring safety aspects and can be worn about the person of the operative. <IMAGE>
