A hair blush having bristles (3) fixed in recesses (11) of a bristle carrier, in which the peripheral surface (14) of the bristle carrier from which the brush bristles extend is spaced from the points (12) at which the bristles are fixed to the bristle carrier. The recesses are broadened out from the fixing points (12) of the bristles (3) to the peripheral surface of the bristle carrier and are stepped (15). <IMAGE>
