Abstract

A transportable building of the kind equipped with wheels, for use during transport, and other supports by means of which the building can be supported instead of by means of the wheels so that the building can be firmly installed at a desired location is provided with at least one extension unit 18 mounted in a side wall of the building so as to be movable between a retracted position in which the unit is withdrawn into the main structure and an extended position in which the unit extends out of the main structure to increase the floor area thereof. The extension may move along track sections which may themselves be telescopic or alternatively, may pivot from a transverse to an operative aligned position. <IMAGE>
