Abstract
In a process for the continuous polymerisation of 1-olefins under particle form conditions in a liquid diluent the catalyst is a supported Ziegler type comprising a halo- titanium compound on a magnesium oxide or hydroxide support and is activated with a metal alkyl compound before being fed to the polymerisation reactor. The process can lead to a reduction in reactor fouling and an increase in productivity.
