Abstract

A method is described for the production of a ceramic article, more particularly a porcelain article having an open-work design. The article, in a suitably hard state, is fitted with a mask which is formed as a template for the required design and perforations resulting in formation of the design are made by directing a jet of granular material against unprotected portions of the article.
