Abstract

A polyolefin, e.g. polypropylene, foil 5 at a temperature of 20 DEG C to 40 DEG C below the crystalline melting point is first deformed by a plunger 6 and thereafter inflated so that the foil is pressed against the inner side of a mould 1. Preferably the foil has a melt flow index of 1.8 to 2.4 and the plunger is not pre-heated. <IMAGE>
