Abstract

A pick-up, roll-type baler having, in advance of the bale-pressing chamber (1), an antechamber (13) for storing picked-up crop during bale- discharge, has a conveyor (6) which forms part of the antechamber leading to an inlet (5) to the pressing chamber and has means to stop the conveyor, and thus cut off feed to the pressing chamber, at least during bale discharge and possibly during bale-tying. <IMAGE>
