Abstract

200,346. Cattell, J. S. June 29, 1922. Pads and like rubbing-appliances. - A device for cleaning seats in lavatories comprises two blocks a, a<1> adapted to grip a detachable pad d of medicated or sensitized absorbent paper such as blotting paper, the larger block a being adapted to operate on the face of the seat while the block a<1> is shaped at a<2> to correspond with the rounded edge of the seat. The blocks are held together detachably by means of dowel pins b and recesses b<1>. The block a is provided with a detachable metal strip c to which is fixed a bolt e adapted to pass through the blocks and through a strip c<1> and to clamp the parts and the pad together by means of a wing nut f. The device, when not in use, may be suspended by means of a hook h.
