Abstract
The invention relates to a mapping radar particularly for helicopters. A mapping radar is provided with a rotary antenna(s) subject to a circular rotary movement which is preferably arranged at the free end of one of the rotor blades of a helicopter. A transmission/reception unit (Tx/Rx) is coupled to the antenna. The reception signals are demodulated and then correlated in a correlator (50) by a synthetic signal which is obtained by means (70) for phase-modulating a signal of constant amplitude in accordance with the rotary movement of the antenna(s). <IMAGE>
