The derivatives having the formula:- <IMAGE> wherein R<3> and R<4>, which may be the same or different, are each hydrogen, or hydroxy (at least one being OH), R is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl and R<2> is methyl, ethyl or -CH2CH2OR; or R and R<2> together form an ethylene (-CH2CH2-) radical and their acid- addition salts, possess cardioselective beta adrenergic stimulant activity.
