Abstract

A nozzle-wiper assembly for apparatus for filling containers with liquid which comprises a tubular nozzle 1, 3 having slidably mounted thereon a ring member 7 which has at least one passage 10 whereby the central opening 11 of the ring member can be subjected to sub-atmospheric pressure to suck off any liquid adhering to the outer surface of the nozzle tube 3 as the tube and ring member 7 slide relative to one another. <IMAGE>
