Abstract
Compounds of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein R1, R2 and R3 are the same or different and each is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and X is in the 2- or 4-position and is OH, -Cl, -O-R4, -S-R4, -SOR4, -SO2-R4, <IMAGE> R4 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or unsubstituted or substituted phenyl have anti-inflammatory properties. They may be made from the corresponding quinolylacetic acids by oxidation to the N-oxide, chlorination, and replacement of the chlorine atom by another radical X as hereinbefore defined.
