Abstract

The derivatives have the general formula: <IMAGE> wherein X is a halogen atom or a trifluoromethyl group, n is 1, 2 or 3 and R is a hydrogen atom or an alkoxycarbonyl, acetyl, chloroacetyl or N,N-dimethylcarbamoyl group. The compounds possess herbicidal properties and may be prepared via the corresponding 3-benzylmercapto compound.
