Abstract

An apparatus enables aircraft to be in a raised position so that the wings of the aircraft can overlap the wings of adjacent aircraft stored on a lower level. The apparatus has power- operated means for raising plates 209, 213 supporting the aircraft landing gear and means for retaining the landing gear on the supporting plates. The aircraft is rolled onto the supporting plates in their lowered positions (full lines in Fig. 9) and may be transported by the apparatus when the plates have been raised (broken lines in Fig. 9). <IMAGE>
