Abstract

A multi-spindle automatic lathe with spindles (5 to 10) mounted in an indexable spindle drum (3) and with tool slides (15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 21) provided at the spindle positions in which a spindle column (2) of the lathe has an annular flange (4) thereon surrounding the spindle drum (3) adjacent forward spindle bearings (12) thereof and the tool slides (20 and 21) at lateral spindle positions are mounted on brackets (22, 23) secured to the annular flange (4) and optionally also to the wall of the spindle column (2) adjacent the annular flange (4). <IMAGE>
