Abstract

Dynamo-electric machines.-A notching &c. press for laminµ used in electrical machines has two tools d carried by brackets a<1>, a<2> on opposite sides of a cylindrical slide a carried in a guide b. The upper part of the slide is rectangular and is engaged by flat extensions of the guide b, Fig. 2, and strips f. The slide is reciprocated by a crank shaft k and threaded connecting rod g which is rotated by its squared end for adjustment and has a ball end g' to allow oscillation. The rings or segments being notched are indexed by dividing-mechanism not shown.
