Abstract
196,784. Jones, E. H., (trading as Cox, Wilcox, & Co.). March 31, 1922. Portable s p i r i t stoves.-In a portable spirit stove of the kind having detachable members serving both as legs and utensil supports, these members 3, 10, are formed of sheet metal strip and have struck-out tongue - pieces which engage in sockets on the stove body 1. The sockets are formed from strips of sheet metal bent to the shape shown in Fig. 3, the side pieces 4 being held between the stove body 1 and an outer ring 5 which is provided with holes 6, through which project the arch-shaped portions 2, and is fixed in position by rolling its upper edge 7 over the upper part of the body 1. Each of the portions 2 has, in its vertical face, a depression 9 which bears against the tongue-piece cf the leg and presses it against the body 1. Three of the combined leg and utensil-supporting members 3, 10, are provided, one of which has its lower end extended to form a handle 11.
