Automatic-feed weighers.-In an automatic weighing machine, a pair of rotary feeding devices is used, one of which rotates intermittently and operates as a measurer, whilst the other rotates continuously and is controlled by a shutter, which is actuated under the control of the weigh-beam. The rotary feeding device a for measuring the material consists of a system cf radial vanes, or alternatively, of a drum with a pocket which is open at one end and closed at the other. A plate d movable endwise, may be provided for adjusting the capacity of the feeder. The feeder e acts as the dribble-feed and consists of a continuously rotating body with longitudinal recesses formed around its periphery. The oscillatory shutter f is under the control of the weigh-beam. Specifications 195,766 and 195,768 are referred to.
