Elements moving always in one plane, rotating; optical-projection apparatus, applications of.-In apparatus of the kind in which a series of pictures, printed matter, or like transparencies, carried by an intermittently-rotated disc, is optically projected, and in which the change of picture &c. is masked by an intermittentlyoperated shutter, a shaft 21, driven from a motor, carries a tappet 30 for operating the shutter lever 28 and a pin or tooth wheel 23 which operates a notched wheel 24 on a shaft 22 carrying a toothed pinion 9 which drives a spur wheel on the axis of the disc 1.
