Abstract
192,181. Davis, F. H. Nov. 2, 1921. Stair-rod eyes.-A bridge member 7 is pivoted so as to move laterally with respect to an angular base member 1, and a sheet metal retaining member 3 formed separately from the base member is fixed thereto so that one edge 5 of the retaining member forms a resilient tongue to receive and hold the bridge member. The bridge member 7 and retaining member 3 are secured to the base member 1 by providing each part with a drawn hole 8 to be passed through a hole in the base member over which it is then flanged. Projections 2 adjacent to the corner of the base member are bent up to form stops to prevent endwise movement of the stair rod. The end 9 of the bridge member 7 is curved and adapted to engage with a. corresponding curved portion 5 of the retaining member.
