Abstract
191,623. Williamson, G. Jan. 24, 1922. Turning. - A rotary tool-head for use on a boring or other bar for use in facing flanges &c. comprises arms d, d' carrying tools at their ends and rocked for feed by worm - gearing f ratchet actuated from a sliding pawl carrier and tappet j. In addition an axially movable slide, with holes o for receiving a tool, may be provided for facing the periphery of a flange. The slide is fed by a screw and star wheel. In a modification the tool head is in two parts formed with vices for clamping on the bar without sliding on from the end. In this form the arms are mounted on opposite ends of a common shaft, a tool being provided at each side of the head.
