Lined and covered boxes; folding boxes; contents, facilitating access to; handles; fittings, external.- The sides of a first-aid case are held closed while the case is being carried by its sling or handle, but they open out when the case is placed on the ground, unfastened, and the tension of the sling or handle removed. The sides b, e, Fig. 1, connected by flexible gussets g, are hinged or similarly secured to a base f, and the sling or handle i, Fig. 2, has cordsj, which pass through guides k on the sides c, e and are secured to the sides b, d. The case preferably has a waterproof covering and a lining of material capable of disinfection, and the lid h has fastenings l.
