Abstract

15,458. Devant, D. Nov. 2. Ornamenting.-Consists in an illuminated "jewel" or like decorative device comprising a reflector casing 1 provided with a dome or " lens " 3 of translucent material and also a radiating-device consisting of a series of galleries, planes, or leaves positioned within the casing 1 in such a manner as to diffuse the light. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the gaJleries or planes 7, having central openings 8, are mounted in cone formation on a wire frame 9. The front gallery 10 is pierced with small holes, and the others are dished at their edges 11. The rays of light passing through the aperture 8 are reflected from the backs and fronts of the galleries 7 and diffused. In a modification, Fig. 4, the light is reflected through the spaces between a number of overlapping leaves 7<a> arranged in conical formation.
