Receiving system and apparatus.-Non-contactmaking relays of the moving-coil type, such as that described in Specification 17,555/09, are provided with electric means for zero correction. In the arrangement shown in Fig. 1, an auxiliary coil C attached to the moving coil is connected to a split battery E and resistances a, a<2>, s, of which the resistance s is adjusted to vary the correcting- current. Other means, such as a wheatstone-bridge arrangement or differential coils and opposed batteries, may be used.
