Abstract
5583. Gowlland, H. O. Sept. 1, 1914. Drawings to Specification. Spectacle lenses. - In multi - focal lenses for spectacles and eyeglasses of the type having one face of ordinary spherical or cylindrical curvature and the other face of parabolic curvature, the lenses are formed by the cutting into two of a symmetrical lens having one surface of parabolic curvature. The resulting lenses have a constant variation of focal length as the line of vision passes from one edge to the other. The parabolic curvature may be either on the convex or the concave face, or both faces may be concave.
