Abstract

4284. Wade, H., [Aktiebolaget Svenska Kullagerfabriken]. March 18. Ball bearings; spring supports.-A shaft for dynamos &c. is mounted at each end in a ball bearing one race of which is movable axially and is supported by springs 8. The two sets of springs resist movement of the shaft in both directions. The bearing has two rows of balls, taking radial load and end thrusts respectively, running between the same track-rings 2, 4. To equalize the pressure, a washer 7 is placed between the springs 8 and the movable track-ring 4.
