Abstract

Flexible strips.-An instrument for recording and reproducing curves comprises a flexible spring rule a carried hingedly by a number of slotted rods c, adapted to be connected to a rigid rule f by means of screws d and nuts. The nuts h have worm teeth to engage with a common worm shaft i operated by a hand-wheel or crank fitting the squared end thereof, so that all the nuts can be simultaneously tightened to render the flexible rule rigid when it has assumed the desired curve.
