Abstract
205. Dury, W. B. Jan. 6. Hand-bags &c.-In a ladies' hand-bag &c., the leather or other material 1, Fig. 6, is secured to the main frame 4, formed with an overhanging rim 4<a>, by an inner member or " sheen " 3, Figs. 2 and 6, the outer edge 3<a> of which is inserted under the rim, the sheen being formed with one or more flanges 3<b> at its inner edge to engage the leather. Preferably, a fillet 2 of cardboard &c. is first secured to the edge of the leather, and this fillet may be formed with separate end portions, which are held from slipping down by abutments 3<c>. The sheen is secured by rivets at 5, and its inner flange is gapped at the corners 3<d>; or it may be replaced by a number of small projections.
