Rotary type for cutting rectilinealy.-Relates to machines for cutting rags, ropes, &c. having a rotary cutter with helical blades acting in conjunction with a fixed blade, such as that described in Specification 20,838/06. The blades on the rotary cutter, or the fixed blade, or both, are formed with corrugations or recesses B at a right-angle or other suitable angle to the edge of the blade, in order to prevent the material from sliding along the blade.
