Abstract

23,170. Findlay, D. Nov. 27. Sounds and probes.-A probe for indicating the presence of bullets or other metallic bodies in wounds &c. comprises two insulated metallic portions in the form of a concentric rod and tube connected in circuit with a telephone receiver and an electric battery. The probe, Fig. 2, consists of a silver or other metallic tube 8 surrounding, but insulated from, a metallic rod 7 preferably formed with an enlarged head 9. The tube and rod are connected by insulated conductors 10, 11 passing through an india-rubber casing 2 to a plug 3, Fig. 1, mounted on a box 5 carrying the telephone receiver 6 and containing a small electric battery
