Abstract

19,290. Nyborg, T. G. Sept. 1. Electro-magnetic switches; magnetic blow-out. -In solenoid-operated switches provided with magnetic blow-outs and economy resistances, the blow-out magnet and the resistance-controlling contacts are mounted along with the movable contact upon the solenoid plunger. In the construction shown, a plunger d when attracted by a solenoid a raises a bridging contact g up against stationary contacts e, f. Side-pieces h attached to the plunger d carry a blow-out magnet j having the ends of its coil connected to auxiliary movable contacts k which in breaking circuit are the last to leave the stationary contacts. The solenoid is connected in a branch of the mains e, f and a resistance w is cut-in, after the switch has closed, by means of two further auxiliary movable contacts m, n cooperating with stationary contacts p, q, r, s.
