18,017. Haas, A. May 8. Coating webs.-Part of the periphery of an adhesive-applying disk or wheel 3 rotates in a slot 2 of an adhesive receptacle 1, which is supported by an arm 6 pivoted at 9. The rotation of the disk 3 causes the receptacle 1 to move slightly away from it, thereby leaving a coating of adhesive on the disk. A stop 11 limits the motion of the receptacle 1. In order that certain portions of the periphery of the disk 3 may receive less or more adhesive than the remaining portions, projections or recesses are provided thereon by means of movable plates 12, 13 which may be secured by set-screws 14.
