Abstract

Printing-surfaces; inking-apparatus.-In a printing-machine in which the ink is squirted on to the printing-surface, an additional reservoir and pipe connexions are provided by which the squirting-device may be used for squirting a cleansing-liquid on to the printing-surface. As shown, reservoirs A, B containing ink and zylol or other cleansing-liquid respectively are connected by pipes a, b and a valve R to a pump P which is connected by a pipe e to the squirting-tube D. The surplus liquid falls into a trough E connected by a pipe f, valve R<1>, and pipes g, h with the reservoirs A, B. By adjusting the valves R, R<1>, either ink or cleansing- liquid may be squirted on to the printing- cylinder from the tube D and the surplus returned to the respective reservoir.
