Clips, sheet-metal.-A clip for fastening together sheets of glass &c., to form cloches or screens for protecting seeds and plants, combrises two metal members bent to form tubular eyes at their centres and having limbs extending side by side and adapted to grip the glass sheets &c. between them. Fig. 2 shows a cloche consisting of two glass sheets a connected together at a right-angle by two clips, each of which consists of two sheet-metal members b, c bent to form tubular or trough-shaped eyes b<1>, c<1> secured one within the other. The limbs or end parts of the members b, c are bent as shown so as to bear on the glass at the points x. The eyes b<1>, c<1> may be outside the cloche. Similar clips are used for fastening end pieces to the sheets a and for forming rectangular cloches provided with covers and other cloches comprising different numbers of glass sheets connected together at various angles. They may also be used to connect glass sheets in line with one another to form screens and to support them in upright or inclined positions, one pair of limbs being straight for insertion in the ground.
