Steam - traps. - Apparatus of the float type is made with a comparatively deep casing, so that the discharge valve is held against its seating by a coniderable fluid pressure. The float lever h is hinged to a bracket i near the top of the casing and is connected to the discharge valve f by a vertical link j. The valve f, conveniently of dovetailed section, fits loosely between correspondingly-shaped guides g.
