Abstract

14,365. Zuelzer, G. June 20, 1913, [Convention date]. Bacterial products; bacteria, preparations for administering.-Preparations for reducing blood pressure are obtained by introducing into gelatine non-pathogenic micro-organisms which produce endotoxines, which organisms have previously been charged with amboceptors. In an example, the Bacillus coli, after passage culture through rabbits, is treated with a serum containing its amboceptor, washed, and introduced into gelatine. Other bacteria which may be used after being rendered non-pathogenic are those of the typhoid-hog-cholera, and the hµmorrhagic septicaemia groups.
