Stud-and-socket fastenings.-In a stud-andsocket fastening, the head f of the stud member is secured in the opening e of the socket member by means of a sliding piece which passes through the holes c and slit d. The sliding piece is formed with two limbs h, curved enlargements i, and stop-pieces l. After insertion of the head f in the socket opening e, the sliding piece is moved from the position shown in Fig. 9 to one in which the head f is engaged by the limbs h.
