9872. Cox, H. A., Lloyd, G. E., Rottenburg, L., and New Transport Go. Feb. 17, 1913. Mechanical dispatch apparatus.-Relates to the transfer of trays of goods between bays and truckers in the system for distributing and sorting parcels &c. described in Specifications 17,344/08, 12,027/11, 3979/13, and 21,056(13, and comprises means whereby the tray-transferring apparatus on co-operating truckers or bays and truckers may be actuated from a single pair of elements, such as cam and cam-pin. As shown in Fig. 2, and described with reference to two truckers, 1 is the cam upon one trucker and 6 the cam-pin upon the other trucker. The pin 6 is carried by a lever 7 pivoted on a shaft 9 which communicates motion to the transferring means on the second trucker when the cam and pin engage during the travel. The pin 6 is connected by a link 15 to a longitudinally grooved bar 12 carried by bent pivoted levers 11. The bar is moved parallel to itself bv connecting the arms 13 of the levers 11 by a link 14. In the groove runs a roller 5 on an arm 3 carried by a shaft 2 on the first trucker. The shaft 2 therefore has imparted to it a motion similar to that of the shaft 9, and communicates that motion to the tray-transferring apparatus on the first trucker.
