Axle-trucks and bogies; springs, arrangement of, and mounting bodies on. - Car trucks in which the swing bolster is supported on semielliptic springs 9 by helical springs 26, as described in Specification 9537/14, have the helical springs carried on a saddle 18 recessed at 19 to embrace the semi-elliptic spring. The bolster 12 is provided with extensions 13 formed with spring seats 16 for engagement with the springs 26. Excessive horizontal movement of the bolster on the spiral springs is prevented by the flanges 15, 25 and walls 21, 28. The semielliptic springs are carried by swing-hangers 3 from the side bar 1 of the truck frame as described in the above-mentioned Specification.
