Abstract

9052. Wosnessensky, N. April 9. Single-bath mordanting processes; printing.- In dyeing or printing with basic dyes, the dyes and tannin are applied together in presence of resorcin as solvent. The antimony salt may be applied simultaneously or subsequently. Examples are given of (1) a padding bath containing methylene blue, tannin, resorcin, acetic acid, and water, the material being padded, steamed, and then treated with antimony salt, and (2) a printing-paste containing methylene blue, tannin, resorcin, acetic and tartaric acids, tartar emetic, and starch-tragacanth thickening, the material being printed and then steamed. Specification 5259/97 is referred to.
